What does MMDS do?

We are a musical and dramatic society with several performances and events each year. Our membership year begins in August. These events typically take place in the following months;

Main Musical - February Midterm
Play - May
Concert - June
Pub Theatre - October

Are you accepting new members?

In general, we have a limited number of members we can accept each year - please fill out our expression of interest form HERE if you are interested in joining us. *

These responses will be collated in order of response and any places available offered out in order or responses. We typically begin accepting new members over the summer, as the season typically runs from September to May. However there may be some other performance opportunities throughout the year, so it's best to have you on this list to keep in touch.

*Just to note, there are a few people on our waiting list already, so we cannot guarantee that a place will be available come September - this is based on returning membership.

How often do you rehearse?

Typically we rehearse on Monday, Wednesday (and Thursday if you have a principal role), and after Christmas, we have Sunday rehearsals. There is a schedule sent out at the start of the year so you have an idea of which nights you are required for singing/dancing/production.
